Elise Marie Lindenau is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, though she is now pleased to call Southern California her home.

Elise has had a passion for the performing arts since she was very small and loved to dance, almost before she could walk! She first performed on the ballet stage at the age of five and studied ballet for over fourteen years, most recently with the Sacramento Ballet Company under the direction of Ron Cunningham and Carinne Binda. In high school she continued her performing arts studies, adding singing lessons and acting in several high school musicals, including the regional premiere of ‘Starmites’.

Elise grew passionate about musical theatre as a young teen when she was chosen to be in Sacramento Music Circus’ first Junior Company in their production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’. Upon graduating from high school, Elise continued her training, working as an intern and a counselor for Music Circus for several more summers. As a result of this training, she learned a great deal about acting, costuming, stagecraft and stage management.

Elise studied Musical Theater at the University of California, Irvine, graduating with a BA in Drama and an emphasis in Musical Theater. She performed in multiple shows while in school including ‘Avenue Q,’ ‘Man of La Mancha’ and ‘Evita’.

Apart from her educational experience, Elise has been involved in the theater community of Orange County. Some of her favorite roles include Dance Captain/Ensemble in the West Coast premiere of ‘Claudio Quest’, Val the Vulture in the world premiere of ‘Birdbrain’, Star-To-Be/Boylan Sister/Ensemble in ‘Annie’, and Reno Sweeney in ‘Anything Goes’.

Elise also has experience working as an entertainer for children at local events and in the offices of the Tony Award-Winning South Coast Repertory Theater.
